the Deep Hole at Myakka State Park

Exploring the DEEP HOLE…. Yes we had fun doing it, yes it was an adventure, yes we need a special pass, and yes we filmed too much of it. Or was it not enough. You can decide. Here’s a preview!

Thank you to Hike It Florida who did a write up about this amazing site. I had never heard of it.

Its  2 miles down a dirt road without many signs. We were surrounded by safari of Florida trees and tall grass. Then a woods and a dramatic opening to what is known as “Deep Hole” in the 7,500-acre wilderness preserve part of Myakka River State Park. This amazing view takes a bit to get to and regular tour companies don’t visit this area.
