How to Add your band as a Host for a Facebook Event

Marketing Your Band On Facebook

Facebook is always updating the features on there website to make it easier for the end-user. Here’s a great example of something that makes it much easier for bands to promote themselves for upcoming show. You can put all the bands that are on the show as hosts so that way the Facebook event will show up in every band Facebook event page.

What usually happens for show is multiple bands will have different event pages. This helps with coordinating a larger marketing effort with all the bands behind pushing for show attendance.



Only the event host can add more hosts to their event.
To add a co-host:
  1. Click Edit at the top right of the event.
  2. Next to Co-hosts, click where it says Add Friends and enter their names.
  3. Click Save.
Hosts and co-hosts can invite more people to an event and edit event details. When you create an event, you’re automatically listed as the host.
Friends you invite to co-host your event won’t be sent a request and will automatically become admins of your event if they RSVP as Interested or Going.

So Snapchat recently updated their app automatically on everyones phone. Many people are upset with the new changes to the app but this isn’t the first time an app has completely changed the way it interfaces with the end user.

If you will remember Facebook updated their site and app many times with many different changes. People usually complain about this for a couple days but really after two weeks we all get used to it. The Main reason that Snapchat is changing the way their app functions I believe is to increase ad revenue with clients.

Snapchat is a free app for people to download and the company needs to make money to stay afloat. They also have many people who invested in the app early on. Gary VEE being one of those investors. Facebook recently tried to buy Snapchat for $10 billion. Mark Zuckerberg knows the potential to reach a younger demographic through Snapchat.

Here is a quick tutorial on what Canva is and How to use Canva for your business.  Canva has become a great tool that I use for my clients on a daily basis. It allows me to make quick and easy content for posting on their social media. Many people use Photoshop and other programs. They are great programs but there is a steep learning curve to using them. Canva is it easy to use online program that allows you to make many different templates and sizes for social media posts. I use this program to make Facebook banners all the time for myself and for clients. Your online presence is all about content now days and this is a great tool to make it easy and quick.

History of Canva:

Canva is a free graphic-design tool website, founded in 2012. It uses a drag-and-drop format and provides access to over a million photographs, graphics, and fonts.[1][2][3] It is used by non-designers as well as professionals.[1][4] The tools can be used for both web and print media design and graphics.[5]


The company was founded 1 January 2012 in Australia by Melanie Perkins, who had previously founded Fusion Books, Australia’s largest yearbook publisher.[6][7][8] Canva rapidly became popular, with more than 750,000 users in its first year.[9] Social-media and technology expert Guy Kawasaki joined the company as chief evangelist in April 2014.[10]

As of 2018, the company employs 200 people and has offices both in Australia and San Francisco. The firm has not yet made a profit. For the 2016-17 financial year, revenue increased from $AU 6.8m to $AU 23.5m, with losses of $3.3m. In January 2018 founder Melanie Perkins announced that during the most recent round of investor funding the company was valued at $US 1bn.
